The heart behind the table
Vasili (Billy) Petropoulos is an Australian-born chef with proud Greek heritage. From a young age, he learned the rhythm of the kitchen beside his mother and father — the scent of oregano in warm olive oil, the sound of garlic sizzling in the pan, the laughter that always followed a shared meal.
That early Greek kitchen shaped everything.
Beyond the kitchen, Billy has shared his love of Greek cuisine through television appearances and cooking shows, inspiring audiences with his charismatic personality and honest approach to food.
Today, Billy is an internationally recognised chef and entrepreneur, having built more than 70 restaurants across 9 countries.
He has cooked for celebrities, dignitaries and royalty — but his passion has never changed.
Food is about people.
